Baked Beans and Chilli Tuna Shakshuka

2 pax | time 40 minutes


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can of Saba Flakes in Olive Oil (with oil)
  • 250g plain flour
  • 3 stalks spring onions, sliced
  • Friedn onion, finely sliced
  • 2 tsp tumeric powder
  • 100ml water
  • 2 eggs
  • salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

 

To Blend

  • 2cm ginger
  • 80g shallots
  • 2 red chillies
  • 3 cloves garlic

 

PREPARATION

  1. ⁣Blend ginger, shallots, red chillies and garlic. Set aside
  2. Heat oil in a wok for deep frying
  3. Mix all the blended ingredients with the rest of the ingredients and make it into a thick batter
  4. Drop teaspoon of the batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown
  5. Drain off excess oil on a paper towel and serve with a chilli dip
